200 Rounds fired to get it perfectly dialed-in. 0.4 MOA @ 100 yards off a bipod. Equipped with Athlon 4.5-30x56 Athlon ARES ETR UHD 4.5-30×56 APRS1 FFP IR MIL (details at Ares ETR 4.5-30×56 APRS1 FFP IR MIL Rifle Scope) EGW steel 20-MOA picatinny rail (the factory Savage aluminum rails are too weak with a .300 Win-Mag).
*Eric Cortina muzzle-brake/tuner, which allows you to dial in the barrel harmonics to get perfect results (see the paper target- with four shots- from last time I was at the range, a few months ago), was $200 plus install and overall checkout by local gunsmith. Between the muzzle brake and the soft butt-pad, this makes it surprisingly pleasant to shoot, feels like a .308.
Also comes with ~160 rounds of hand-loaded ammo, 3.340 COAL, 70 gr Hodgdon H4831 power, CCI #250 Magnum Large Rifle Primers, Hornaday 212-gr ELD-X bullets, =~2800 FPS with 212-grain slug, enough to reach out 1000 yards without stressing cases or breaking your shoulder. VERY accurate in this setup. Typically, you shouldn't use reloaded ammo you haven't used yourself, but this is THE recipe for the ammo
